By buying the game, we become the customers we fear. Never before have I played a game with such daring meta-commentary.

Could you by any chance tell us who made the music or upload/make the soundtrack available for purchase? :) I'm genuinely in love with the synthy PS1 vibe it gives off. Super cool game!!! Keep up the good work!

You should open up Steam page so we can wishlist it.

(-1)

You can add it to your collection it's the same thing.

On steam? I already brought it from here.

No you can put it in your collection on itch.

That's not what I meant but whatever.

Fun little game! Is there any plans for more content/updates?

This game was soo firee LOVED IT. Keep up the great work My experience

This game was a lot of fun and RAGE INDUCING!  Lol.  I love games with humor and old style graphics.  This game was pretty hard to complete as the AI runs really fast and there are a few minor glitches that can cause some problems.  It seems you can prepare ahead of time by loading the shelves with all but one of each item before activating the customers.  However, recent patch notes seems to indicate that was resolved.

I may or may not have screamed at my monitor a few times in a fit of rage. Lol.

Awesome work.  I hope this game gets expanded or has a sequel!

Definitely potential here. I had a lot of fun playing this and was sad when it ended. I'll be keeping an eye out for future updates, for sure! Only minor issue I had with the game was that it felt like after helping a consumer find the aisle they wanted it would be a very short amount of time before they'd come after me again. Which was especially annoying if they wanted to go to the same aisle I was hoping to stock shelves in, although this may very well be by design.  Other than that, as someone who has worked in retail for more years than I care to admit, I loved it. The character designs and voices are awesome!

Its a really stressful game but really fun

I really didn't enjoy the game, all I did was get really frustrated and rage quit.

get good

Looks like a fun game and a commentary about our society (:D).
Also, the game reminds me of an old PC game called "Mall Mania"

This game is amazing (Style wise and gameplay)

Are you going to be making a collection of these games? Somewhat how Lakeview Cabin had like 4 other games in one collection?

I think a movie theater horror game would be kinda cool too, especially with this artwork, it's really unsettling and beautiful.

Very fun game! I have some feedback though:

  1. Since the game starts only when you finished stocking the first shelf, you can make it a lot easier on yourself by placing all the boxes right in front of where they should go before the game starts. You can even stock every shelf with just one item missing. Might be intended but it makes the first have of the game quite boring where you just play "normal" shelf stocker without customers, and the actual game super easy.
  2. Dropping (not throwing) a box makes you automatically pick it back up about half the time, was quite confusing at first as I thought there was some areas I wasn't allowed to leave a box, that was until I just started throwing them instead.
  3. Throwing a box while in stocking mode bugs the game out a bit until you press space to exit.
  4. The baby customer becomes almost (or always?) unbeatable later in the game, ran as fast as I could to where the baby was but got game over before I even saw it. Seems like you get too little time to find it in some cases later in the game.

Again, otherwise love the core gameplay and the artstyle, hope you keep polishing this!

Hello

I just read through your game description and I'd love to make a video on your game and post it here afterwards? Hopefully this is possible!

Have a great day!

^ . ^

I recorded this yesterday morning, I feel so behind since I couldn't edit it til this afternoon (I streamed a game for 13 hours, no joke)

thankyou so much this game has been awesoem to me germfood

Made a goofy video on it,  but first of all, this game is super fun, touve managed to make one of my favorite games of this type, good job!

(If my internet had been faster I'd have this here sooner, but oh well, better late than never!)

This game is crazy accurate coming from someone who's had a lot of these jobs :D this is a pretty dam hard game, but mark my words, I will beat it...

This was what I expected lol the retail horror experience thank you!!

I have been waiting for this one for awhile and it was exactly what i hoped for. The feeling of being out on the floor and retreating to the quiet of the staff only room. The stupid shit people ask for even though they are right by the aisle.

I loved all the subliminal messaging and shout outs to other devs as well.

This brought back some crazy memories of working at a couple retail stores and grocery stores.

Excuse me while I spend a few more hours walking the aisles of this hell hole.

Any chance for controller support?

The boxes seem to break and cease working (game breaking) when a customer 'asks' for help when you're stacking products. I can no longer grab stuff out of the box until I lose the game.

I just tested it myself. It seems to happen if you get caught in exactly the same frame as when you place an item, which I didnt foresee happening. I'll get to work on a fix!

It happened to me 5+ times when playing xD So I can definitely say it was frequent for me at least in a single playthrough.

Only other possible bug I maybe found was, after beating the game and restarting/replaying the game, the managers' dialogue at the intro doesn't appear properly (when still holding backpack) unless it was some other variable or random glitch that made him not talk

worked customer service, pretty accurate.

Such a great art style. Genuinely one of the most anxiety inducing games ever but in a good way. I'm all for unconventional horror and this deffo has things to say about the hells of working in retail!

i rly like to throw boxes into granny's face 10/10
